A Carol for the Stressed

If you're battling against the stress of providing an amazing Christmas for your family, if you're feeling doomed to failure, if the season has already made you wish for January, then you should sing this carol to the tune of "Let it Snow."

Oh the struggle inside is frightful.

Though I wish it were delightful.

All this stress is my foe,

Let it go! Let it go! Let it go!

Oh, it doesn't show signs of stopping

And I don't just mean the shopping.

I'm already sick of the snow,

Let it go! Let it go! Let it go!

Inside I'm still having a fight,

Lots of anxiety to perform.

The stress I'd like to smite,

I just don't want to conform.

Oh I feel like crying.

It's not just all the buying.

It's important that I know:

Let it go! Let it go! Let it go!

The spirit's lost in stressing.

I don't have to be impressing.

It's important that I know:

Let it go! Let it go! Let it go!

More later on my own Christmas stress and how I plan to derail the anxiety this December.
